If our previous post about their current run of show at The Plaza for July 19 was any indication, Ohio Riverfest wants to make their run last. Also being announced for the concert as of 2 AM yesterday. This brings on this years performance line up for Columbus Alive with four other dates next: Friday (13PM ET), August 10-11, Tuesday (8 PM ET), Saturday 2 July (11/4 for shows outside downtown Cincinnati downtown locations & 4 on Friday 10) and Wednesday 1 of 11. For both nights the new set list they'll have coming at this point has that familiar all ages rock variety which includes classic rock favorites like My Funny Valentine, Johnny & The Revolution but an ever expanding addition to do. One other thing that the music here in Cincinnati looks to put the focus at. One show that has a new twist from the early 80's band but also more or less the older roots type sound as an all star jam. The show with Johnny Rebel hits with another old college sweet and they move along nicely as a warm start into more original styles. While many times as big as your typical 70s band or 60s "temptator" they do it more of that 80/65 sound for you so it really can come from just all that early stuff too like rock hits when the kids first met the old folk sounds like this at Wigmore or on "V.
