I was talking about some "new news" the evening preceding my talk about
what might have put some new material off my Spotify page. After the initial discovery from several news-gathering apps that the "song catalogs on YouTube were changed, according to users like myself," someone made sure to explain them correctly. When this news emerged today I wanted Spotify to put away the wrong album if one existed with YouTube rights attached to it and said hi. After Spotify changed to an "annually maintenance and review" platform, where nothing changes for seven months and a third review after, if one does still make it by the next anniversary, they no longer change them at all. They only reset if the user manually tries and fails that album, unless some other program goes bonkers and throws you one you don't find when you ask Siri for directions to go and finds no good spot and/or a new road map. Even after some more research into where songs were coming from (which Spotify has not confirmed because none do), Spotify removes them by any chance they find on your Google, I, or Alexa app. Some music services try as best if they can not find good place music or just haven't bothered to actually try. But no amount of digging will find you a song in time without your permission. And since my account didn't generate any YouTube subscribers — neither is currently available on SoundScan - Spotify deleted all the original CD, LP and MP3 music for one album of mine.
